What happened to Xbox Games with Gold?

Xbox Live Gold was discontinued on 1st September 2023, and those who kept their subscription will have been automatically swapped over to the new Xbox Game Pass Core tier as part of a price increase for Xbox Game Pass.

This change-up removes the two free monthly games and replaces them with a library of around 30 titles - including Halo 5: Guardians, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Forza Horizon 4, to name a few.

Xbox Game Pass Core subscribers will still be able to access online, as well as certain deals and discounts.

Microsoft plans to update the Game Pass Core library two to three times a year, and in December 2023 added Chivalry 2 (6th December) and Totally Reliable Delivery Service (6th December) to the service.

What other Xbox Game Pass games are coming up?

Looking further into the future, the following Xbox Game Pass games have been confirmed for upcoming releases on the service, though a lot of dates are still to be announced.

And that's your lot in terms of what's coming up! We'll be sure to let you know about all those future Xbox Game Pass games as we learn more about them.
